Amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday work life, maintenance of your workwear can often be overlooked. When working in demanding environments, correct garment care is paramount in maintaining a safe and well-presented workforce.
Each workplace has unique risks and hazards dependent on materials, machinery, and the environment. Whether you work with hazardous chemicals or operate in low-light conditions, you require specific workwear to stay safe, and damaging the integrity of this clothing can put you at more risk.
At Rocliff, we understand the importance of maintaining the condition of your protective clothing from fireproof overalls to chef workwear, and with our industrial laundry and workwear repairs services, our production team proactively pick out any garments which require workwear repairs. Most of our repairs are identified during our garment inspection phase. For hard-to-see repairs, such as pockets tearing, or crutch seams, we ask our customers fill in one of our workwear repairs labels for any repairs you think may be hard to see. This process is also true for any alterations you may require.
The right workwear for the job
When working in challenging environments, your workwear can endure a lot of wear and tear, so ensuring your clothing is fit for purpose is essential. Rocliff prides itself on providing workwear of the highest standard to keep you and your workforce safe. We work alongside three garment manufacturers to allow us a great deal of choice and sizes, but most importantly, it gives us unparalleled lead times.
Using the right clothing for the demands of the role and spotting workwear repairs early and not neglecting repairs before the repair becomes larger, result in greater longevity. Our team at Rocliff can help advise on the correct level of protective clothing for your working environment and also help with an accurate measuring of each wearer. Our workwear ranges offer varied classes depending on the risk factors. See the example below of our range of Flame Retardant Workwear:
- Class One – Light welding and spatter-resistant garments
- Class Two – Heavy welding, spatter, and grinding-resistant garments
- Class Three – Molten Metal splash garments. These offer the highest level of protection possible.
- Reinforcement Options – We have access to fabrics that can provide anti-tear and additional FR protection. These can be layered on top of existing fabric to create a robust garment with longevity.
Cleaning techniques
Our commercial laundering services utilise the highest standard machines and detergents to preserve the life of clothing while achieving the cleanest results. With over 50 years of experience in the industry, our team of experts has the best knowledge and can provide bespoke services, adapting to each customer’s needs.
Workwear repairs service
Our industrial laundry service means we handle thousands of garments each day, so we are quick to spot damaged clothing. We inspect your garments at three different stages during the industrial cleaning process, on arrival (whilst scanning the garments into site) to check for any damage and then twice more throughout the cycle to check the integrity of stitches, seams, pockets, etc.
If any minor repairs are spotted during this process, we ensure they are dealt with and completed before the next scheduled delivery, meaning wearers won’t be waiting for their garments to be returned. If we spot any garments damaged beyond repair, we will contact you to discuss new garment options – we will never replace garments without your authorisation first. You can also contact us separately for garment repair services, and we will provide a fast turnaround to get your garment back to you in good condition.
